1. Overview

By booking or participating in a Songhees Tours experience, you agree to the terms outlined below. We are committed to providing an inclusive, culturally respectful, and safe experience for all guests and guides. Please read carefully.

2. Cultural Protocol & Conduct

Songhees Tours operates on Lək̓ʷəŋən territory and is grounded in teachings, traditions, and protocols shared by the Songhees People. By joining a tour, you agree to:

  • Approach the experience with openness and respect

  • Refrain from disruptive or inappropriate behaviour

  • Honour all photo/video guidelines shared by guides

  • Participate in cultural safety by listening, asking respectfully, and not appropriating stories, songs, or ceremonies

We reserve the right to remove guests from a tour if behaviour is deemed disrespectful or unsafe.

3. Health & Safety

  • Guests must follow all safety instructions provided by Songhees Tours guides

  • Canoe tours require basic mobility; please inform us in advance of any mobility or accessibility needs so we can accommodate where possible

  • Life jackets are mandatory during all water-based experiences and are provided

  • Guests assume responsibility for their own physical health and limitations during the tour

4. Accessibility

We are committed to accessibility and inclusion.

  • Our walking tours are wheelchair accessible

  • Custom tours can be adapted for mobility needs

  • Please contact us in advance to ensure the best possible experience

5. Booking & Payments

  • Payment is required in full at the time of booking

  • Prices are listed in CAD and include applicable taxes

  • Secure online payment is available through our website

 

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

For guests:

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund

  • Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable unless due to verified medical or emergency reasons

For Songhees Tours:

  • Tours may be cancelled due to weather, safety concerns, or cultural reasons

  • In such cases, guests will be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund

 

7. Liability Waiver

By participating in a Songhees Tour, you release and hold harmless Songhees Tours, its guides, and affiliated partners from any liability related to personal injury, property loss, or unforeseen circumstances that may occur during the tour.

 

8. Media & Photography

Guests are welcome to take respectful photos and videos unless otherwise directed by the guide. Some cultural elements may be sacred and should not be recorded. Please honour any photo limitations communicated during the tour.

 

9. Privacy

We respect your privacy. Personal information collected during the booking process is securely stored and will never be shared without consent.
